He's My Shelter in a Raging Storm As we go through life, full of woe and song . . . There's a shelter here. He's Jesus . . . My Savior, who, in the storms of life is always standing near. I can count on Him for everything in my life that needs to be mended Because I have from a child believed that from the grave . . . He ascended. It's my nature to look to Him in times of woe, or when storms' abound, Because I know, my Savior loves me, thus I'm never alone. He is ever around. The billows in life just surge over me. My Savior keeps me afloat. He is e'er my lifeguard . . . He surely sails the sea and stills my boat. Many years ago He called to me . . . I answered with tears of joy inside. I thought, oh Lord, on me you came to call . . . It's me you want to be Thy bride I feel so humbled, let me kneel at thine own feet in Heaven there, Kiss Thy nail scarred feet and hands and Lord let all my loved ones be aware. Help us to overcome barriers. Guide our ship on through the darkness of night. Help us to sleep in peace and when there with Thee . . . Be dressed all in white. Like the saints of Glory, let us forge on through the raging storm if life And when we reach the shores of Heaven there, there will be no more strife. Just a little while and I know the gates all covered in pearls will open for me. It will be a joyous reunion, when my Savior sweet face I am free to see.
