In His Image
God gave me sight so I could see,
To read the book he left for me.
He gave me hands to do his will
And feet to climb the steepest hill.
He gave me ears to listen
To the lonely and depressed.
He gave me arms to hold them
And try to put their fears to rest.
He gave me legs so I could walk
Those roads an extra mile,
Then gave me lips to speak his word
And Praise Him all the while.
God formed us in His image
So we could carry out His deeds,
From speaking to His lost sheep
To planting loving seeds.
He taught us, in His word, that love
Would be our just reward
And everything we are, or ever hope to be,
We owe to Christ, our Lord.
