When God says Go Forward
Trust Him And Go
God
brought His children to the Jordan River that day,
But how could they cross--it was at flood stage they say.
God said, "Start marching and I'll stop its flow,
Into the promised land I'll permit you to go.
They believed and went forward into the water to go,
But as their feet reached the water, what do you know,
God stopped the river and up stream piled it high,
And let His people cross over on land they was dry.
As soon as the last person set foot on the far shore,
God let the river, at flood stage, flow once more.
Everyone was amazed at the power God showed,
At His bidding the river stopped and at His word it
flowed.
It may not be a river that God calls you to cross,
But you need to trust Him and let Him be the boss.
You may feel the pressures in your life are unfair,
That your trials and temptations are too hard to bear.
But when God says go forward trust Him and go,
Step out with confidence, don't be hesitant and slow.
The God who stopped the river to let His people through,
Is the same powerful God who's right there with you.
