My
Father's Love
I
crawled into his lap today
His comfort was sweet perfume
When my brothers came to share
He said, “Come there is still room.”

I cried upon his shoulder today
Because I didn’t know what to do
He smiled down up on me and said,
“I know the plans I have for you.”
~ \o/ ~
I couldn’t walk alone today
The road was much to weak
So He held my hand along the way
And said, “I am strong when you are weak.”
~ \o/ ~
I walked away from him today
Because I wanted to be on my own
He looked down upon me and sadly said,
“You are still mine. ~ You are known.”
~ \o/ ~
I had to walk alone today
It was so very hard to do
He watched me far afar and said,
“I would love to help you through.”
~ \o/ ~
I ran back to my Father today
He stretched his arms open wide
He wrapped his arms around me and said,
“Welcome home, my beloved child!”
~ \o/ ~
“But Father, I don’t deserve your love
I’ve torn my life apart.”
He looked down upon me lovingly
And said, “I will give you a new heart.”
~ \o/ ~
I can shout for joy today!
Because I am now free
Free from sin, bondage, and fear
Because my Father always loves me!
~ \o/ ~
